Job Description

Mulberry Baptist Church Children's Day Out Position
  • Lead Teacher Compensation Classification Part-time, hourly Compensation $15/hour, 15-18 hours per week Explanation of Hours Tuesday
  • Thursday 8:30am
  • 1:30pm (include 1 additional hour at teacher's convenience for planning purposes) CDO follows the Terrebonne Parish school calendar, with just a few exceptions.
(CDO starts later and finishes earlier than Terrebonne Parish schools.) Hourly employees will not be paid for missed time. If time off is needed, fill out a "Request for Time Off" sheet and turn it in to the director. CDO employees will be paid for hours worked per pay period. Signing in and out each workday is required to ensure accurate payment for time worked. Responsibilities
  • Attend all staff meetings, trainings and programs
  • Plan, supervise, and implement a daily teaching program using the provided curriculum
  • Lessons and items needed for teaching must be prepared two weeks in advance
  • Maintain time schedules throughout the day
  • Keep all CDO closets clean and orderly
  • Mop and vacuum rooms at the end of each day
  • Clean little bathroom by your classroom at the end of each day
  • Take out trash at the end of each day
  • Closely supervise children at all times
  • Guide and direct appropriate behavior
  • Comply with any additional duties deemed necessary by CDO committee or director.
This includes last minute changes in classrooms and emergencies that may come up during the day.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour
