In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in accordance with early childhood education standards. Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with patience and understanding. Manage classroom dynamics by applying effective behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and cooperative learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's development. Maintain detailed documentation of child progress, classroom activities, and adherence to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Incorporate specialized educational techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently by maintaining a clean, organized classroom equipped with necessary safety supplies like first aid and CPR kits. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods relevant to early childhood education. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching approaches for children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education support. Prior experience with Montessori teaching methods or physical education for young children is advantageous.
