Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant Afternoon Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young children will help create a warm, engaging, and enriching environment for our littlest learners. In this role, you will be responsible for providing attentive care and developmental guidance to infants during the afternoon hours, fostering a safe and stimulating space that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Your dedication will support families and contribute to the foundational development of infants in our care. Responsibilities Supervise and care for infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the afternoon shift Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development based on childhood development principles Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences in a positive and professional manner Follow all health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and infection control procedures Support individual needs by adapting activities for children with disabilities or special education requirements Document developmental observations and assist in planning personalized care strategies to support each child's growth Skills Experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction and early childhood education best practices Proficiency in child supervision, behavior management, and classroom management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred) Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities or developmental delays Knowledge of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children! Pay:
$10.00 - $11.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
