In this vital role, you will provide flexible support across various classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of different ages. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will help maintain smooth daily operations while building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Duties Assist in supervising children during play, learning activities, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom teachers by helping with lesson implementation, activity setup, and clean-up. Step into different classrooms as needed to provide coverage during staff breaks or absences. Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, materials, and shared spaces regularly. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, behaviors, and developmental progress. Follow all health and safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and pediatric first aid procedures. Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, toddler care, infant care, and daycare experience. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs across different age groups within the center. Experience working within mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices.
