This role combines the vital responsibilities of ensuring a safe, secure environment for children while actively engaging them in physical activities that promote healthy development. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and passionate about nurturing young children's growth through structured security protocols and engaging physical education programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's safety and well-being while fostering their physical and social skills. Duties Maintain a secure environment by monitoring entrances, exits, security footage and common areas to ensure child safety at all times Implement security procedures in compliance with mandated reporting laws and childcare regulations Lead age-appropriate physical activities, sports, and movement exercises that promote motor skills development and overall health Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring proper behavior management and safe interactions Communicate effectively with teachers and administration Assist with classroom management by supporting teachers in maintaining a positive, organized learning environment Conduct regular safety checks of the facility, playgrounds, and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries Assist in data entry for attendance and Federal Food Program Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is required Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child safety protocols is essential Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Strong classroom experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children, including behavior management techniques Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while adhering to mandated reporting laws Physical ability to engage actively in child-centered activities and supervise outdoor play effectively Join us in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive physically and emotionally!
