Immediately Job Description The Early Learning Center at Saint Agnes School is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our growing program. The ideal candidate will create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom where infants and toddlers feel secure, supported, and encouraged to explore, learn and grow. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of young children. Key Responsibilities- Provide responsive, affectionate, and individualized care to infants and toddlers.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Build trusting relationships with children and help them feel secure throughout the day.
- Plan and implement age appropriate activities that support social-emotional, cognitive, language, sensory, fine-motor, and gross motor development.
- Follow each child individualized feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedule.
- Follow all EEC guidelines and regulations
- Supervise children carefully and maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times.
- Observe children's development and document progress.
- Communicate positively, professionally, and objectively with families through Brightwheel and during arrival and dismissal.
- Prepare and maintain weekly lesson plans Work collaboratively with co-teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Follow all health, safety, emergency, illness, and medication procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, classroom events, and required trainings.
- Assist in maintaining classroom materials, laundering classroom items, cleaning toys, and preparing the room for the following day.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other classroom when needed. Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC Infant/ Toddler Teacher Certification required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must complete Background Record Check
- Must complete EEC Essentials 2.0, and Refresher
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time management skills Schedule This is a full time position (7:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:30pm) requiring availability during the center's operating hours.
