Foster a safe, inclusive, and joyful classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among young children. Manage daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and support social skills development. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Maintain detailed records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and implementing specialized programs such as special education or early intervention services. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, especially with toddlers. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for young children. Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR is preferred Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Experience with Montessori or other educational philosophies is desirable but not mandatory.
