Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our classroom! In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster their development, support their emotional well-being, and ensure they have a positive experience during their time in our care. This is a school year position with the potential to work a summer camp program if desired. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support classroom management by maintaining organized, clean, safe, and engaging learning environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences. Follow mandated reporting laws. Provide basic first aid and hold an unexpired CPR certification at all times. Engage in ongoing training related to early childhood education, behavior management, and child development. Skills Must have experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices. Strong classroom experience with effective classroom management skills. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and teamwork. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training (will provide training). Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child protection. Proven ability to handle behavior management effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
