We believe children learn best by exploring, building, experimenting, and asking questions. Now we're bringing that same philosophy to early childhood education. Our preschool is designed to combine everything children need during their earliest years, a warm, nurturing, play-based environment, with thoughtfully integrated technology, hands-on making, and project-based learning that inspires curiosity without replacing childhood. We're looking for an exceptional educator who wants to help build something that doesn't exist yet. About the Role This is far more than a traditional Teacher Certified Position. As our Preschool Certified Teacher , you'll serve as both an outstanding classroom teacher and a co-architect of our preschool program. You'll design an emergent, inquiry-driven curriculum inspired by children's interests while helping create the educational philosophy that will shape RoboHub's preschool for years to come. Working alongside experienced educators, engineers, robotics specialists, and leadership, you'll help demonstrate how innovative teaching practices and thoughtfully integrated technology can enhance—never replace—the relationships at the heart of early childhood education. Your Impact Your work will directly influence: The daily educational experience of children ages 3-5 The development of RoboHub's unique preschool philosophy Parent confidence and community engagement The successful launch and growth of our preschool program How technology can thoughtfully enhance—not replace—early childhood education The culture and professional growth of future teaching staff What You'll DoDesign Exceptional Learning Experiences Design and implement an emergent, integrated curriculum inspired by children's interests, questions, and investigations. Facilitate learning through play-based, inquiry-driven experiences that encourage exploration and creativity. Build meaningful project-based experiences that integrate literacy, science, engineering, art, social-emotional learning, and early mathematics. Thoughtfully incorporate robotics, engineering, AI-assisted planning tools, maker experiences, and other emerging technologies when they genuinely enrich children's learning. Foster Mathematical Thinking Integrate early math concepts naturally throughout the day, including: Number sense Patterns Measurement Spatial reasoning Problem solving Logical thinking Incorporate principles from Bridges in Mathematics (or similar research-based curricula) using developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences. Help children discover math through play, construction, conversation, and real-world investigations rather than isolated instruction. Observe, Assess & Inspire Observe, document, and assess children's development using authentic assessment practices. Maintain detailed documentation of children's thinking, learning processes, and developmental progress. Use observations to guide curriculum planning and individualized learning experiences. Share documentation with families through meaningful communication that celebrates children's growth. Lead the Program Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations (606 CMR 7.00). Maintain an inspection-ready classroom and uphold exceptional standards for safety, organization, and documentation. Help refine RoboHub's preschool philosophy and educational model. Mentor assistant teachers, interns, and future educators while fostering a collaborative, psychologically safe culture. Collaborate on classroom budgets, materials, and innovative learning environments. Partner with Families Build trusting relationships with families through consistent communication and conferences. Support enrollment conversations and parent education events. Help families understand the educational philosophy behind RoboHub's approach. We're searching for someone who combines exceptional teaching with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to build something new. Required Qualifications MA EEC Preschool Teacher Certification Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of lead teaching experience in a child-centered preschool setting Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional learning. Experience with emergent curriculum and facilitating inquiry-based learning. Experience using observation and authentic assessment to guide instruction. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work during public school vacations Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education. Experience with Bridges in Mathematics or comparable early mathematics curriculum. Familiarity with Reggio Emilia-inspired practices. Experience with co-teaching and collaborative planning. Who You Are You might be the right fit if you: Believe children learn best through play, exploration, relationships, and curiosity. Have a deep understanding of early childhood mathematical development. Know how to make math joyful, meaningful, and naturally integrated into everyday experiences. Are skilled at observing and interpreting children's thinking. Love reflecting, experimenting, and continuously improving your practice. Enjoy collaborating with educators from different disciplines. See technology as a tool that supports great teaching—not replaces it. Are excited by the opportunity to help build an entirely new preschool model. Why You'll Love Working at RoboHub At RoboHub, you'll have the opportunity to build something few educators ever get to experience. Instead of simply implementing someone else's curriculum, you'll help create one. You'll collaborate with educators, engineers, robotics experts, and innovators to design a preschool where imagination, creativity, mathematics, engineering, and joyful learning come together.
We offer:
Competitive salary ($55,000 to 65,000) Performance-based incentive Health insurance eligibility 15 days paid vacation Professional development opportunities Significant autonomy and leadership The opportunity to shape the future of early childhood education About RoboHub Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, RoboHub is reinventing education through robotics, AI, engineering, and hands-on learning. RoboHub is a strategic partner of the Boston Tech Initiative (BTI), the Massachusetts 501(c)(3) affiliate partner for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). How to Apply Please email your resume to Instead of a traditional cover letter, we'd love to hear about one of the following: A time you challenged conventional teaching to create a better learning experience for children. An educational idea you've always wanted to try. A classroom innovation that transformed children's learning. Your thoughts on what preschool education should look like ten years from now. We're looking for educators who are excited to build the future—not simply teach in it. Our Hiring Philosophy RoboHub is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where every child, family, and educator feels welcomed, respected, and empowered to thrive. If you're excited about this opportunity—even if you don't meet every preferred qualification—we encourage you to apply. We're looking for exceptional educators who bring expertise, curiosity, and a passion for lifelong learning. We believe exceptional educators deserve exceptional compensation. Because this is a founding leadership role, we're prepared to pay competitively for candidates who bring outstanding classroom expertise, curriculum leadership, and a passion for building the future of early childhood education.
