Tiny Stars is a parent-and-child program, which means you won't just be teaching young children. You'll be leading a room filled with children and their parents or caregivers . That makes personality incredibly important. We're looking for someone who loves young children, enjoys talking with adults, is comfortable leading a group, and can create an environment where everyone feels welcome and involved. You do not need gymnastics experience. Our Tiny Stars curriculum is already created and planned for the entire year. You'll receive video-based curriculum, training, and guidance showing you what to teach and how to lead each activity. We provide the curriculum and training. You bring the energy, personality, and connection. What Is Tiny Stars? Tiny Stars gives young children the opportunity to move, explore, learn, and build confidence alongside a parent or caregiver. Children participate in age-appropriate activities while their adult helps guide, encourage, and support them throughout class. What You'll Do As a Tiny Stars Instructor, you'll lead classes using Pioneer's established curriculum and video lesson plans. You'll be responsible for: Leading fun, energetic parent-and-child classes Following our established Tiny Stars curriculum Learning weekly activities through our video-based training Explaining activities clearly to parents and caregivers Showing parents how to help and support their child during each activity Keeping both children and adults engaged throughout class Creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere Learning the names of children and parents in your classes Encouraging children to explore, participate, and try new things Helping parents understand the purpose of activities Celebrating children's accomplishments throughout class Starting conversations and building relationships with families Making new families feel comfortable and included Keeping the class organized, active, and moving Setting up and putting away equipment when needed Maintaining a clean and safe instructional environment Working with the Pioneer team to create a consistent experience for every family You're Leading the Parents Too This is one of the most important parts of the position. Parents and caregivers are actively participating in Tiny Stars, so we need instructors who are comfortable speaking to a room full of adults. You might demonstrate an activity, explain why we're doing it, then help parents understand how they can support their child. You should be comfortable walking around the class, talking with families, answering questions, giving encouragement, and making sure everyone understands what they're supposed to be doing. Building Relationships Is Part of the Job A great Tiny Stars instructor gets to know the families in their classes. You know the children's names. You learn the parents' names. You notice when someone is new. You introduce yourself. You start conversations. You recognize when a parent looks unsure and offer help before they have to ask. You celebrate with families when their child does something new. Instead of simply teaching activities, you're creating a community inside your class. We want parents to feel comfortable talking to you and confident that you care about their child's experience. Over time, families should feel like their instructor genuinely knows them and looks forward to seeing them each week. No Gymnastics Experience Required You do not need to have been a gymnast. You do not need gymnastics coaching experience. You do not need to create lesson plans. You do not need to walk in knowing gymnastics terminology. Our curriculum is already developed and planned for the year. You'll receive video instruction showing you the activities you'll be teaching, along with training and support from the Pioneer team. We can teach you the program. What we're looking for is the person who can bring that program to life. Who We're Looking For You could be a great Tiny Stars Instructor if you: Genuinely love working with young children Enjoy interacting with parents and adults Have an outgoing and friendly personality Are comfortable speaking in front of a group Can confidently give directions to adults Naturally start conversations with people Bring energy and enthusiasm into a room Are comfortable being playful and animated Don't mind being a little silly to make children laugh Can communicate clearly and confidently Make new people feel welcome Remember names and build relationships Are patient and encouraging Can maintain control of a group while still keeping things fun Feel comfortable approaching a parent who may need help Can adapt when a young child isn't following the plan Are dependable and punctual Can follow an established curriculum Are comfortable learning through video and hands-on training Take feedback well Enjoy being part of a team Great candidates may come from backgrounds such as: Preschool or early childhood education Childcare Daycare Summer camps Recreation programs Children's programs Dance Music Theater Birthday party entertainment Youth sports Hospitality Customer service Babysitting After-school programs You may also be someone with no formal children's programming experience who simply has the right personality, confidence, energy, and willingness to learn.
