December/April/June vacation weeks + 5 personal/sick days + Holidays Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities that support infant and toddler development, including sensory play, language acquisition, motor skills, and social-emotional learning. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate principles of childhood development, literacy education, and Montessori methods when applicable. Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap schedules, and behavior management to ensure a nurturing environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on early intervention strategies if needed. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations by accurately documenting incidents and maintaining confidentiality. Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes positive behavior management techniques. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and instructional quality. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement among infants and toddlers. Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management strategies, and literacy education best practices. Ability to plan lessons that integrate physical education, math concepts, and sensory activities aligned with developmental milestones. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and external specialists.
