Job Overview Growing Garden Early Learning is seeking passionate, caring educators to join our new early childhood center in Hanson, Massachusetts. We are hiring teachers for infant, toddler, and preschool/Pre-K classrooms. At Growing Garden, we see children as capable learners who can build important skills, take on challenges, and grow with consistent support. Our classrooms will combine purposeful, age-appropriate learning with hands-on play, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to explore nature. We aim to help children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically, including building the skills they need for a confident transition to kindergarten. This is an opportunity to help build a new center and grow alongside our team. We are looking for educators who value early childhood, set caring and consistent expectations, and want to make a meaningful difference in children's lives. Opening is planned for late fall, pending town approvals and licensing. Responsibilities Create a safe, welcoming classroom with consistent routines and clear, age-appropriate expectations. Plan intentional learning experiences that support children's development, interests, and progress toward classroom and kindergarten readiness goals. Use play, books, conversation, art, sensory materials, music, movement, dramatic play, and nature to support learning. Help children build early literacy, math, problem-solving, communication, independence, and social-emotional skills. Guide behavior with warmth, consistency, and respect while helping children practice self-regulation, responsibility, and positive interactions. Provide attentive care and follow classroom routines, including meals, rest, diapering, toileting, and transitions as appropriate to the age group. Observe children's interests and development, document progress, and share meaningful updates with families. Build respectful partnerships with families and collaborate with coworkers to support each child. Follow health, safety, supervision, and mandated reporting requirements. Maintain a clean, organized classroom and help prepare materials and learning spaces. Skills Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or Pre-K children. Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Ability to support children's learning through both intentional instruction and hands-on exploration. Confidence setting consistent expectations and using positive guidance to help children learn appropriate behavior. Interest in supporting early literacy, math, independence, problem-solving, and kindergarten readiness. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and coworkers. Dependability, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate as part of a new team. EEC qualifications or willingness to meet Massachusetts EEC requirements for the position. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
