In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children aged one to three years old. Your primary goal will be to foster early learning, social-emotional growth, and physical development through innovative teaching strategies, compassionate care, and effective classroom management. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Engage children in activities that support literacy education, early math skills, physical movement, and creative expression. Manage daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incidents. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education practices. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to develop engaging lesson plans tailored to toddlers' needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; knowledge of Montessori or preschool teaching methods is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff. Familiarity with child welfare standards, standardized testing (if applicable), and early childhood education best practices. Ability to adhere to all safety protocols including mandated reporting laws and health regulations related to childcare.
