Daycare Assistant Director Crayon Campus Inc. - 3.0 New Bedford, MA Job Details Full-time From $25 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Early childhood education center experience Team supervision Bachelor's degree Associate's degree Full Job Description The Center Assistant Director has responsibility for the management and supervision of the daily operations of the center in accordance with the goals and objectives of Crayon Campus. This includes curriculum development, staff and facilities management, and long-term planning. This is a full-time position and reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and the Center Director.
Ongoing duties include:
  • Ensure the safety, health, and quality of education for all children within the center's care.
  • Supervise all staff members, including giving regular feedback, observations, and evaluations.
  • Adhere to all state and local regulations and policies.
  • Adhere to all Crayon Campus policies and procedures.
  • Maintain student records with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain positive relationships and communication with parents/guardians and staff.
  • Oversee all office functions alongside the Director including staff schedules, staff and children's checklist, purchasing supplies, tuition billing and payment.
  • Resolve conflicts including corrective action when necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Ensure illness and emergency procedures are followed and staff is trained appropriately.
  • Assist running monthly staff meetings.
  • Maintain professional development plans for staff to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings and company functions.
  • Meet NAEYC code of ethical conduct.
  • Ensure a pleasant and inviting atmosphere where families and staff feel welcome and secure.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years daycare experience
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and be highly organized. Have strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well with others and foster a team environment. Possess a strong understanding of child development.
  • Must have at least Lead Teacher qualifications for all ages.
