This role involves supporting the care and development of young children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety, well-being, and early learning experiences. The ideal candidate will meet the Massachusetts EEC requirements for a certified Family Child Care Assistant and possess relevant experience in infant care and daycare settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working collaboratively with families and staff. Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children, including infants, ensuring their safety at all times. Support early childhood education activities that promote developmental milestones and learning through play. Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following pediatric first aid protocols to address minor injuries or emergencies. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and compliance with legal requirements. Assist in creating a clean, safe, and engaging environment that encourages children's growth and exploration. Collaborate with other caregivers to implement daily routines and educational programs aligned with best practices in early childhood development. Qualifications Must meet Massachusetts EEC requirements for a certified Family Child Care Assistant. Valid certification in First Aid and CPR, including Pediatric First Aid. Experience working in a daycare center or similar childcare setting is preferred. Strong child supervision skills with a focus on safety and well-being. Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child protection. This part-time position involves working three days per week for approximately 29 hours, offering flexibility within a supportive childcare environment. The successful candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
