In this role, you will create a vibrant, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning through engaging activities and lessons. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation among children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships for child welfare. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining health protocols such as first aid and CPR certification, and supervising children at all times. Incorporate specialized instructional techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Maintain organized records of lesson plans, assessments, attendance, and developmental progress in compliance with licensing requirements. Skills Extensive experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for toddlers and preschoolers across various domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse needs. Skilled in classroom management and behavior management strategies that foster a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori philosophies or other child-centered instructional methods. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare standards, and health safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification. Experience with standardized testing procedures appropriate for early childhood assessment when applicable.
