Naval Academy Primary and Secondary (NAPS) is seeking a nurturing and energetic Preschool (PreK) Lead Classroom Teacher to create a warm and engaging early learning environment. This full-time position focuses on fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our youngest learners through structured play, exploration, and foundational academic skills. Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Establish a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment where children feel secure and encouraged to explore. Use hands-on, play-based learning strategies to promote curiosity and foundational skills. Support early language development through storytelling, songs, and interactive discussions. Observe and assess student progress, communicating regularly with parents about their child's growth and milestones. Collaborate with teacher aides and other staff to ensure a positive learning experience.
