Job Description
Preschool Lead Teacher Preschool for the Arts at St. Anne's (PASA) Full-Time and Part-Time Options Available We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Faith-based preschool program who will foster a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of early childhood education principles and a commitment to promoting the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning, incorporate art experiences, and foster exploration.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff to support the children's educational journey.
- Observe and assess children's progress and communicate developmental updates to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive educational program and participate in school events and staff meetings.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure that all materials are safe and conducive to learning.
- Implement disciplinary measures that are positive and constructive, promoting respect and responsibility among students.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development and classroom observations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Knowledge of child development and early learning standards.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Background check required.
