Overview Be apart of our vibrant after-school care team dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children in our community. As an after-school care provider, you will play a vital role in supervising children, facilitating enriching activities, and ensuring their well-being from dismissal through early evening hours. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while developing your skills in childcare, youth development, and educational support. Your enthusiasm, responsibility, and commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere will help children thrive both academically and socially. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Help plan and facilitate engaging activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports, and educational games that promote childhood development Manage behavior using effective and positive reinforcement techniques Administer first aid when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns Support children with homework assistance to reinforce learning and academic progress Coordinate with parents, teachers, and staff to communicate children's needs and progress effectively Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages safety and creativity for all children in care Experience Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or educational environments Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities Experience managing behavior in individual and group settings Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus Outdoor work experience or background beneficial for organizing active outdoor play and sports activities Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members Join us in creating a fun-filled, safe space where children can learn, grow, and develop essential life skills.
