Position Summary:

The Lead Childcare Provider is responsible for overseeing the care, safety, and engagement of children enrolled in our weekend program. This role includes supervising staff, coordinating daily activities, communicating with families, and ensuring that all children experience a welcoming, supportive environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, and passionate about early childhood care.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise childcare staff during assigned shifts Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children in the program Plan, organize, and implement developmentally appropriate activities Maintain a clean, organized, and child‑friendly environment Communicate professionally and warmly with parents and guardians Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs Manage sign‑in and sign‑out procedures Respond to emergencies and follow safety protocols Assist with meal and snack distribution Ensure compliance with all program policies and licensing requirements Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred) Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children in a childcare, school, or similar setting CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work weekends and evening hours as required Ability to lift 30 lbs and engage in active play Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities Must pass background check and meet all licensing requirements

Preferred Skills:

Experience supervising childcare staff Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Creative activity planning Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
