Job Description

As an Infant/Toddler Teacher at the Primrose School of Gambrills you will help young minds explore, discover and understand the world around them. We are located at 670 MD Route 3 Southbound in Gambrills, MD. We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic teachers to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning. Primrose School of Gambrills is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, documents, and maintains a variety of fun and educational programs and activities Interacts with children at their level (stoop and bend) both physically and verbally throughout the day Evaluates and analyzes student learning Observes and responds to children's needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in a classroom, on the playground, in bathrooms, or in common areas Helps children with personal hygiene and with keeping classroom clean and organized Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas Meets with parents, staff, and administration and attends staff meetings and other events as needed/requested Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
One year of progressive and relevant child care experience Infant/Toddler 45 Hour Certification Must meet all state qualifications for classroom teaching positions and maintain state in-service requirements Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, at least 95% of the day
