Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques. Develop lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual child needs, incorporating best practices in early intervention and childhood development. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress, address concerns, and build strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child progress and incidents. Support children's emotional well-being by applying child welfare principles and creating an inclusive environment for all learners. Collaborate with team members to implement individualized plans for children requiring special education or additional support services. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Experience with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and standardized testing is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices.
