Responsibilities Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being. Follow established lesson plans and activity schedules designed to promote child development and learning. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing while maintaining hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with children to encourage positive behavior and social skills through behavior management techniques. Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to implement age-appropriate educational activities that foster curiosity and creativity. Maintain accurate attendance records and document any incidents or concerns according to mandated reporting laws. Engage with parents or guardians by providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies. Certifications in First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and child safety are highly preferred; willingness to obtain these upon hire is required. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
