Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Duties Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities Support children with basic needs such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and hygiene routines Engage children in educational play to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child welfare or safety Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly desirable Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive guidance techniques Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the staff team Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with child safety regulations Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and supported!
