Responsibilities The Preschool Teacher will lead a structured and engaging two-hour learning block for children approximately ages 2-5.

Responsibilities include:

Lead morning circle time and age-appropriate learning activities Teach early literacy, phonics, numbers, math, and foundational preschool concepts Incorporate Bible stories, prayer, Christian values, and character development Plan and facilitate hands-on activities, art, music, movement, and sensory experiences Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior Maintain an engaging, safe, and organized learning environment Provide individualized support based on children's developmental needs Encourage independence, communication, and school-readiness skills Assist with transitions between activities Follow childcare health, safety, and supervision requirements Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with children and families

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience working with preschool-age children Strong understanding of early childhood development Ability to manage and engage a group of approximately 10 young children Dependable, punctual, patient, nurturing, and professional Strong communication and classroom-management skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Successful completion of required background checks and childcare requirements

Preferred:

CDA, Associate's, Bachelor's, or other education in Early Childhood Education or a related field 2+ years of preschool teaching experience Experience developing or following preschool lesson plans Experience with Christian education or a faith-based childcare program Experience with Montessori-inspired learning or other hands-on approaches CPR/First Aid certification Familiarity with preschool curriculum such as Abeka What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with young children and can create a warm, structured, and joyful classroom environment.
