Our goal is to train and equip the next generation to be well-educated leaders and use their gifts and talents to advance the Kingdom of God. All candidates for employment must have a pastoral reference completed by their senior pastor. We are currently only interviewing candidates who reside within the United States. Teachers are responsible for creating developmentally appropriate lessons and electives, as well as delivering instruction in a manner that meets their students' learning and developmental needs. Teachers are familiar with educational tools and assessments that can be used across grade levels to determine students' levels of performance or intervention, if needed. Teachers work in collaboration with the RCA Director to provide families with resources as learning or other student needs arise. Lastly, teachers meet with the RCA Director weekly for staff meetings and professional development sessions. Teachers must submit a weekly lesson plan overview (block planning), maintain student records, manage classrooms, participate in school events, and keep a neat, orderly learning environment. RCA teachers work in collaboration with the School Director to ensure that the Rock Church Academy classrooms adhere to Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) regulations.
