•Competitive Salary & Benefits Package. Salary is based on experience. We are seeking an experienced Electronic Security Alarm Technician to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with electronic security systems, including fire alarms, access control, CCTV systems, and other related security products. This role is essential for ensuring the service, maintenance, and operation of a variety of security technologies for both residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
System Service:
Service electronic security systems such as fire alarms, CCTV systems, access control, and other related devices.
Component Setup:
Service security system components, including hardware, firmware, and software.
System Integration:
Ensure seamless integration of security systems with existing infrastructure.
Testing and Calibration:
Test and calibrate installed systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve issues with security systems, including both hardware and software.
Customer Support:
Provide excellent customer service during service and maintenance visits, addressing any customer concerns and providing system training when necessary.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service work, and troubleshooting efforts.
Education/Experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years previous industry experience. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in the service and maintenance of electronic security systems (fire alarms, CCTV, access control, etc.). Strong understanding of hardware, firmware, and software integration. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to security and fire alarm systems. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, organization skills, time management, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Email. Must be drug free (drug testing required). Must have clean background (State Police Background check will be conducted). Must have valid drivers license with no more than two points.
Skills:
Ability to review and interpret electronic security system drawings. Read and interpret architectural drawings and security device symbols, code tables, riser and block diagrams, system component elevation drawings, panel designs, conduit related devices, system installation details and matrices. Execute assigned tasks and projects with attention to detail and work as an integral member of the team. Ability to work on your own managing your daily schedule and paperwork. Applicants selected for positions may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements; only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must be able to perform the following: Lift 75 pounds Work on ladders and lifts Stand on your feet for eight hours or more. Work in cold/hot weather indoors or outdoors. Climb and work within small spaces.
