Job Description
Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Stepping Stone Children's Center — Stevensville, MD We are growing and hiring teachers for multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschool. If you are reliable, patient, and enjoy helping children learn and develop each day, we would like to meet you. What You'll Do Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Supervise, guide, and support children throughout daily routines and activities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and experiences Set up and maintain inviting learning centers that encourage exploration Support children's social-emotional growth and independence Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations Communicate professionally and positively with families Participate in parent conferences and center events Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times Follow all health, licensing, and medication procedures Attend required trainings and staff meetings Collaborate respectfully with coworkers and leadership Perform additional duties as needed to support the center What We're Looking For Dependable, energetic, and nurturing educators Individuals who genuinely enjoy working with young children Strong teamwork and communication skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Pride in maintaining a clean, organized, structured classroom Professionals who understand that early childhood education is important work Required Qualifications Must be at least 19 years old Ability to pass required background checks 90-Hour Child Care Certificate Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers preferred.
