Pre-school / School-age Lead Teacher

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-school / School-age Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and implementing engaging curricula. This role involves leading classroom activities, developing lesson plans, and collaborating with staff to ensure a positive educational experience for all students. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to preschool and school-age children's developmental needs. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment. Implement early intervention techniques for children requiring additional support in areas such as special education or child welfare. Support toddler care routines and ensure adherence to childcare standards. Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with parents and guardians through effective communication skills to discuss student progress and developmental goals. Maintain classroom organization, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, literacy education, Montessori methods, and other relevant areas. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or school-age settings; prior classroom management experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities. Experience with special education needs, literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities as a lead teacher. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Passionate about child welfare, daycare standards, private school environments, and fostering inclusive learning experiences.
