Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire a love of learning and support healthy development. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth. Your expertise in early childhood education will empower children to reach their full potential while building strong relationships with families and colleagues. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives every day. Hours for working are 730am-5:00pm Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods Lead daily classroom activities focused on child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment Support children's social-emotional growth through effective behavior management techniques and individualized attention Collaborate with families through regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and any special needs or early intervention requirements Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, child observations, and incident reports in accordance with licensing requirements Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and childcare skills Knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention strategies, special education practices, and Montessori or similar educational philosophies Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social skills Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in child welfare or mandated reporting laws are preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners Experience managing classrooms with diverse needs including toddler care and children requiring additional support through early intervention programs Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, documentation, and maintaining a structured learning environment Join us in shaping the future by providing high-quality preschool education rooted in compassion, innovation, and excellence.
