Job Description

Main Street Children's Center is a small, community-based preschool in Cumberland, Maine. Founded in 2008, our mission has always been to support the local community and provide exceptional care. We pride ourselves on being a developmental preschool - meaning we care deeply about developing each part of a child: Socially, Emotionally, Physically, Cognitively, and Creatively. We are looking for a full-time, preschool teacher's aide for our 3 year old classroom during a staff member's maternity leave!
Responsibilities include:
Providing support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment. Assisting the teacher in planning and preparation for daily activities; aids instructional efforts of the teacher. Leading classroom activities; may confer with parents on children's progress in the absence of the teacher. MSCC is open from 7:30-5:00, and staff generally work between 6 and 8.5 hours on any given day.
Employment Dates:
Mid-October through January This position is eligible for the Early Childcare Supplement Grant, starting at $240/month as well as holiday pay.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
