Job Summary:
Schoolhouse Academy is seeking a passionate, dependable, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our growing team! This is an opportunity to be part of a refreshed and forward-moving program focused on high standards, teamwork, and excellence in early childhood education. In this role, you will serve as a role model for both children and staff, promoting best practices in early childhood education while maintaining a safe and inclusive space for all students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans Create a structured classroom environment that promotes learning through play Ensure consistent supervision and safety of all children Support children's social-emotional growth and positive behavior Communicate professionally and effectively with families Maintain accurate documentation and classroom records Collaborate with leadership and teaching team to uphold program standards
Skills:
Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and staff Demonstrated leadership abilities in guiding classroom teams and managing day-to-day operations Knowledge of Maine childcare licensing regulations Dependable, positive, and team-oriented mindset CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
