Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' needs, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity and independence. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies, promoting respectful interactions among children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Plan and execute lesson plans that support early childhood development standards and incorporate age-specific activities. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child observations, assessments, and incident reports. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, especially with toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Proficiency in curriculum development with a focus on literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and preschool readiness skills. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing where appropriate while fostering a joyful learning environment.
