Responsibilities Create a safe and welcoming environment by supervising children during play, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor time. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity. Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children; report any concerns or incidents promptly. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs for infants and toddlers while maintaining hygiene standards. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to communicate children's progress and address individual needs. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones. Skills Proven experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or youth programs teaching experience. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Ability to manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid to ensure immediate response to emergencies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members professionally and empathetically.
