Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool and Toddler Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing engaging curriculum activities that align with early childhood education standards while promoting child welfare and positive behavior management techniques. We are a new Montessori preschool opening in Bloomfield Hills, MI, and are seeking experienced and passionate teachers. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a Montessori program from its early stages. The school will accommodate 70+ children, including toddlers and preschoolers, and is expected to open in spring of 2025. Responsibilities Overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Montessori curriculum and child assessment. Delegating various tasks to associate instructors to ensure proper classroom management. Responsible for ensuring compliance with our school and the State of Michigan's licensing standards Providing daily information to the parents and establishing positive relationships with families. Developing and maintaining an appropriate environment. Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning. Overseeing caregiving staff for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children. Be at least 19 years of age. Participation in staff and training meetings. Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. Committing to continuing education (24 hours of training each year, including CPR and First Aid are required) Maintaining a clean environment for all students Experience Montessori Credential Preferred.
