Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in preschool education, child development, and classroom management, with a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and positive behavior management. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones accurately. Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and best practices. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, behavior, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services through tailored instructional strategies. Manage classroom routines effectively while encouraging active participation from children in various activities including physical education and tutoring sessions. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating effective classroom management and child development instruction skills. Knowledge of curriculum development, early intervention strategies, special education practices, and childhood welfare policies. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, literacy education techniques, and behavior management approaches suitable for young children. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners is advantageous. A degree in early childhood education or a related field is highly desirable; equivalent experience will also be considered.
