Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and collaborate with educators to promote healthy development and learning. Duties Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities that foster growth in social, emotional, and cognitive skills Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and daily needs Help with basic childcare tasks such as feeding, diapering, and nap time routines in accordance with health and safety standards Support staff with documentation of children's development and behavior reports Follow mandated reporting laws to identify and report any signs of neglect or abuse Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive guidance techniques Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs This role is ideal for compassionate individuals passionate about early childhood development who are eager to contribute to a joyful learning environment.
