The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, thrives in a leadership role, and is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Center Hours:
7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (shift schedule discussed during interview) Benefits (Full-Time Employees) Paid vacation Paid floating holidays Tuition reimbursement Professional development assistance Requirements First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Willingness to complete required initial training and maintain annual continuing education hours Fingerprinting and background clearance (reimbursed after 3 months of continuous employment) Minimum of 480 hours of documented child-related experience (Babysitting or raising children does not qualify) CDA credential or higher degree/coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field Reliable transportation Punctual and dependable Valid work authorization and employment verification Familiarity with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) Create and maintain a warm, safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment Plan and implement weekly lesson plans and developmentally appropriate activities Lead an inclusive classroom that supports children of all abilities, including those with special needs Set, track, and support individual developmental goals for each child Maintain developmental assessments, observations, and anecdotal records Prepare and distribute monthly classroom newsletters for families Conduct parent-teacher conferences and meetings as needed Establish and follow consistent daily schedules and routines Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with families, staff, and community agencies Supervise, mentor, and lead teacher assistants Observe and document behavior and learning progress, including kindergarten readiness Plan and implement indoor and outdoor large motor activities Collaborate with co-teachers and administration on group projects, themes, and center-wide initiatives Perform daily classroom cleaning and sanitation Job Type Full-time
