The Pre-K Teacher creates an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment that nurtures each child's cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth. The teacher builds strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues while implementing high-quality instruction aligned with individual needs and program standards. This role fosters curiosity, independence, and foundational skills that prepare children for long-tern academic success. Brownell STEM Elementary Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary Salary & Benefits:
Teacher Salary Schedule + $10,000Commitment Bonus
  • 186 days per year
  • The bonus shall be distributed to eligible teachers based on available and sustainable funds and payable in accordance with District policy and guidelines.
Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs equal to the difference between the premium cost and the annual cost limitation imposed on public employers.
Education:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate required. Early Childhood Education (ZA), Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS), Lower Elementary Education, PK-3 (ZO), or Early Childhood General and Special Education, Birth-K (ZN) endorsement required. Bachelors degree in Early Childhood or Childhood Development is preferred. An online application is required for all positions.
