As a vital member of our early childhood education team, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your role will involve implementing Montessori principles to support each child's individual growth, ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children while working within a collaborative and supportive community. Duties Develop and implement Montessori-based curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, practical life education, and overall child development. Facilitate hands-on learning experiences tailored to the developmental stages of preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and safety. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws to safeguard children's well-being. Conduct assessments using COR standard to monitor each child's academic growth and developmental progress. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate early intervention strategies and support special education needs when applicable. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and incident reports in accordance with licensing requirements. Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, including training in first aid and CPR to ensure a safe learning environment. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool settings is required. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience with Montessori materials and building a beautiful classroom environment. Familiarity with Great Start to Quality expectations. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork work. Previous experience in a diverse work environment. Certification in Montessori Required. First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development topics is encouraged.
