Summary:
The Preschool teacher will educate, challenge, and inspire all learners to become contributing, responsible members of a global society
Schedule:
Monday -
Thursday Schedule:
8:00am-4:15pm Class from 9:00am-4:00 pm Early Release Fridays once a month
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach to pupils in a classroom, utilizing a course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities Class size approximately 18-20 students Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress Other duties as assigned

Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or above in Early Childhood/Child Development OR a
Teaching Certification Preferred:
Additional training and/or education
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication including emails, letters, spreadsheet and forms Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate basic mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages and decimals; spatial aptitude to inspect length and weight of objects
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
