Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Duties Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and social skills among preschool children Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols Conduct ongoing assessments of child development progress using standardized testing tools and tailor instruction accordingly Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse needs Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, lesson plans, and incident reports Foster an inclusive environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes child welfare Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management approaches Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young children Valid certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality at all times Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners is a plus Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and assessments effectively Passion for early childhood education with a commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing learning environment
