Job Description

Job Overview St. Paul School is seeking a caring and dependable Child Care Aide to join our His Little Lambs Infant & Toddler Program , a licensed early childhood program serving infants and toddlers. This position supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children while following Michigan Child Care Licensing (LARA) regulations . Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in supervising infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing classroom environment Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap time, and playtime Help implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment Monitor children at all times to ensure safety and well-being Assist with transitions, indoor/outdoor play, and daily schedules Follow all Michigan licensing regulations, health and safety policies, and center procedures Maintain positive communication with staff and families Participate in required trainings and staff meetings as needed Qualifications Must meet Michigan LARA Child Care Licensing requirements for child care staff members Ability to work with infants and toddlers in a group care setting Reliable, patient, and nurturing with a genuine love for children Ability to follow classroom routines and work collaboratively with staff Supportive of a faith-based, Christ-centered learning environment Requirements Background check and fingerprint clearance (required by Michigan licensing) Health screening and TB test if required Completion of required licensing trainings including CPR/First Aid and Child Abuse & Neglect training (may be completed after hire) Ability to lift and care for young children About Our Program His Little Lambs is the infant and toddler early childhood program of St. Paul School in Millington, Michigan . Our program provides a loving, safe, and faith-centered environment where young children can grow, learn, and thrive.
