Job Description

West Shore Lutheran School Childcare is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, supports a positive learning environment, and works well as part of a team. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing manner Help with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and classroom routines as needed Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Communicate professionally with families and coworkers Follow all licensing regulations and center policies Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required At least 1 year of experience working in a childcare setting Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to pass a comprehensive background check CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Pay Starting pay is $13.75 per hour for the Assistant Teacher position.
