We are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive. Our focus is on building strong foundations in early literacy, numeracy, language, and social-emotional development , beginning with the youngest children in our community. We utilize The Creative Curriculum® , a research-based, developmentally appropriate approach that supports children through purposeful play, hands-on learning, and meaningful teacher-child interactions. We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and growth-minded teachers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young children and are equally passionate about developing themselves professionally and personally . Position Summary:
The Lead Teacher at ECDC is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The Lead Teacher serves as an educator, mentor, and advocate , using The Creative Curriculum® and developmentally appropriate activities to support each child's individual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and compassionate care to all children. Ensure a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Use a variety of teaching methods, including storytelling, songs, games, and hands-on activities, to promote language learning. Support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. Organize and maintain a clean, inviting, and resource-rich classroom. Manage classroom behavior in a positive manner. Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and daily activities and encouraging parental involvement in activities and events. Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Associate's, CDA, or Bachelor's preferred. At least one year previous experience in a childcare or educational setting. Understanding of early childhood development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity and enthusiasm in planning and implementing educational activities. Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
