Job Description

Lead Teacher:
At Premier Academy, we have a mission to enrich the quality of early childhood education and childcare in our communities! We are here to provide a safe home away from home, love and teach kids, and most importantly have fun! Our school communities are growing, and we are looking for extra hands-on staff who are reliable, motivated, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with the youngest members of our communities. Premier Academy offers on the job training opportunities, work schedules with varying shifts Monday - Friday, never working nights or weekends, and most importantly a rewarding work environment.
Job Qualifications:
Have a love for children. Ability to act as a mediator between children. Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable. Excellent communication skills. Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree required.
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) Encourage children to interact and resolve occasional conflict. Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum. (Identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts, etc.) Organize nap and lunch/snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe. Track children's progress. Actively engage with children. Communicate with parents regularly. Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum. Premier Academy follows all local health department guidelines, as well as follows all licensing regulations set by the State of Michigan. The safety of our staff and students is our highest importance.
