Job Description

Our child care center is seeking a Child Care Assistant that is reliable and friendly to work with children of all ages. The ideal candidate will possess child development knowledge and experience with children that are 6 weeks-age 12 , as well as academic and personal experience working with a group of children. This position requires the successful candidate to have patience and understanding, which will be beneficial in the classroom in addition to one-on-one interactions with children. The ideal candidate is required to pass a fingerprinted background check using a plastic driver's license or State ID card and complete at least two hours of health and safety training online before working with the children.
Responsibilities:
Interact and play down on the floor with the children. Provide emotional support and encouragement. Work as a team with the lead teacher and other assistant teachers. Reliability to come on time and when scheduled. Willingness to diaper children and maintain health and safety licensing guidelines. Dress modestly, be organized, and able to communicate well with adults. Willingness to work with all ages and float from room to room with training.
