Infant Teacher — Come Grow With Us! Are you looking for a change? Give Learning Tree a try! Learning Tree Development Center is a small, center-based child care program with a home daycare feel , and we are looking to add an amazing Infant Teacher to our team! We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with babies and understands that infant care is about so much more than bottles, diapers and naps. It's about relationships, consistency, patience, development and making sure those littlest learners feel safe, loved and cared for every single day. Who are you? You are an experienced, nurturing teacher who: Has DCYF Rule 3 qualifications for the position Has experience working with infants in a classroom setting Understands infant development and age-appropriate activities Knows that babies need interaction, conversation, books, music, movement and play — even when they can't exactly tell you what they want! Is patient, nurturing and genuinely enjoys spending their day with little ones Is comfortable with bottles, diapers, naps, tummy time, messy hands and the occasional mystery substance on your shirt Can follow a classroom routine while understanding that infants don't always read the schedule! Can recognize and respond to each child's individual needs, temperament and cues Enjoys building relationships with families and communicating about their child's day Is dependable and takes showing up for work seriously Can go with the flow when the carefully planned day suddenly involves three crying babies at once Works well as part of a team and is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Believes that kindness, patience and respect should be part of every interaction — with children, families and coworkers Who are we? We are a small, privately owned, center-based program where you aren't just another employee number. We have the structure and resources of a center, but the atmosphere feels much more like a close-knit home child care program. Our director is on site and involved in the day-to-day operation of the center — and isn't afraid to get on the floor, hold a baby or jump in wherever help is needed. We believe teachers do their best work when they are supported, trusted and part of a team. Our classrooms are intentionally kept smaller, allowing teachers to really get to know the children in their care. Current ratios are 1:2/3 Why Learning Tree? We know you have plenty of options when it comes to child care jobs. So why choose us?
How about:
No evenings No weekends Flexible scheduling Paid holidays ESST Discretionary leave Highly discounted or free child care for your own children 401(k) availability Training and ongoing support A supportive, team-oriented environment Smaller classroom sizes A team that actually works together A workplace where your ideas and experience are valued Schedule We can be flexible depending on what works best for the right teacher. Option 1: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM with a 1-hour unpaid break Option 2: 8-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid break Our center is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. One last thing... We're not looking for someone who simply wants a job where they can "watch babies." We're looking for an Infant Teacher . Someone who understands that the first year of life is HUGE. Someone who will get down on the floor, sing the silly songs, read the same book 14 times, celebrate the first roll, cheer on the first steps and know that a good day might include getting spit-up on before 9:00 AM. Someone who is reliable. Someone who is patient. Someone who can handle the unpredictable nature of infant care and still come back tomorrow ready to do it all again. And most importantly, someone who will treat every baby in their care as if they were their own. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you! Come check out Learning Tree, meet our team, see our infant classroom and find out if we might be the place you've been looking for. Come grow with us at Learning Tree!
