Learning Tree Development Center is a small, center-based child care program with a home daycare feel , and we are looking for an amazing Preschool Teacher to fill out our team. We are looking for someone who is DCYF Rule 3 Teacher Qualified , with the required college coursework and classroom experience, who understands that preschool is about so much more than simply keeping children busy all day. Who are you? You are an experienced, enthusiastic teacher who: Is DCYF Rule 3 Teacher Qualified Has college coursework and experience working in a classroom Understands what a quality preschool curriculum and daily schedule should look like Can create engaging, age-appropriate activities while still following a consistent classroom routine Is dependable and takes showing up for work seriously Can go with the flow when preschool life inevitably throws a curveball! Is patient, kind, encouraging and genuinely enjoys being with young children Can get down on the floor, play, read, create, explore and learn right alongside the kids Works well with others and understands that being part of a small team means pitching in when needed Is comfortable taking ownership of their classroom while also accepting feedback and support Believes in keeping the classroom positive — we're here to teach, not participate in drama or gossip. We have the structure and resources of a center, but the atmosphere feels much more like a close-knit home child care program. Our director is on site and involved in the day-to-day operation of the center — and is happy to jump in when needed. We believe teachers do their best work when they are supported, trusted and given the opportunity to make their classroom their own. Option 1: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM with a 1-hour unpaid break Option 2: 8-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid break Our center is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. One last thing...
