Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote positive behavior, and support each child's individual growth. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety at all times. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing while maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Foster positive behavior management strategies by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and respectful interactions among children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong relationships. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with licensing regulations. Maintain classroom organization by preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and ensuring a welcoming space for children. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire. Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and child supervision standards. Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children in a professional manner. Previous experience working with infants through preschool-aged children is highly desirable. Pay:
$14.50 - $17.00 per hour
